Notes: Runs and drives nice, reportedly sold for $23,000 last year at a classic car auction. Subsequent work included replacing the camshaft, pistons, and both main rod bearings of the 1.8-liter inline-four. A replacement four-speed manual transmission with overdrive is equipped, and the clutch was replaced in 2018. Additional equipment includes 15″ Panasport wheels, a leather-wrapped Moto-Lita steering wheel, door-mounted mirrors, black vinyl upholstery, and an aftermarket head unit and door speakers. Service in 2023 involved replacing a freeze plug, adjusting the valves, and replacing radiator hoses.
The car left the factory finished in Glacier White and is said to have been refinished. The hood and the area between the windshield and hood were refinished in 2022, and the chrome fresh-air grille was replaced at that time. Door-mounted mirrors and chrome-finished bumpers are equipped. The front badge bar has mounts for driving lights.
The 1.8-liter inline-four is equipped with twin SU carburetors that were rebuilt in 2018 as well as a finned-alloy rocker cover. The engine was overhauled in 2018 by British Motor Care in Portland, Oregon, and the seller reports that it was modified with a ported cylinder head, replacement pistons, roller rockers, a wrapped tubular exhaust header, a thermostatically controlled electric fan, and an oil cooler. An engine-out service was performed in 2023, and work involved adjusting the valves, re-torquing the head, repairing the radiator, and replacing the freeze plug, fan belt, rocker cover gasket, and upper and lower radiator hoses. The oil was changed in May 2023, and the battery was replaced.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission that is equipped with a Laycock LH overdrive unit and was installed in 2009, according to the seller. The O-rings for the overdrive solenoid were replaced in September 2023, the differential pinion flange seal was replaced in August 2023, and the clutch was replaced in 2018. A leak at the overdrive unit is noted.

You are welcome to inspect the items before the auction anytime during our normal business hours which are Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday 9am-5pm, Thursday 9am-6pm, and Saturday 10am-2pm. Inspection is encouraged as all items are sold "as-is".

All items listed for auction are to be sold "as is, where as". All items are sold without warranty of any kind, neither expressed nor implied, all sales are final. Biddergy allows 7 days for marine items purchased in "running condition" to be inspected by a "certified marine technician".

Payment & Removal
Successful high bidders are to make payment and remove items no later than 7 days from specific purchase date. Biddergy accepts cash, wire transfer, money order, cashier's check, and credit cards (Visa, Discover, Mastercard, American Express). Successful high bidders are responsible for any federal, state, and local taxes that may apply. After this 7 day period if your invoice has not been both paid for and picked up, an automatic $2 per lot/per day storage fee will be added to your invoice and will be subject to being resold at the high bidder's expense. Sales Tax & Title Items
All bidders will be subject to 6% State of Michigan Sales tax. If you are tax exempt, please be prepared to provide our office with the proper documentation upon making payment. Biddergy is required by the State of Michigan to broker all titled items sold. A $120.00 broker fee will be charged for all vehicles which we need to broker. In addition a $15.00 fee for title transfer will be charged. We can also apply for license plates / registration if you so choose. Non-Michigan Residents will pay according to their state rules for titled vehicles. Buyers will need to sign the appropriate paperwork required by the state for title transfers. It will take approximately 15 business days to receive your title from the Secretary of State.
Auctions
Auction dates and times are approximate and Biddergy reserves the right to alter times and dates at its discretion. Times are listed as Eastern Standard Time. All auctions are programmed to extend 5 minutes if last minute bids are placed. If no other bids are placed within 5 minutes, auction will end. Example - An item is scheduled to end at 8:00pm, a bid is placed at 7:58pm, the ending time will be extended 5 minutes making the end time 8:03pm, this will continue until no bids are placed during the last 5 minutes.
